Fahrenheit 451

Ray Bradbury’s famous story of a 24th-century book-burning “firefighter” has been a relevant social critique for decades since its 1951 publication. Considering that many American schools and libraries have banned the novel for foul language—as recently as last October—it is clear that intellectual oppression pervades even the most “liberal” of societies. The American Drama Group Europe will bring Bradbury’s message to the stage with performances at Amerika Haus on February 9, 10, 14, 15, and 16 at 7:30 pm. Matinée performances will take place on February 15 and 16 at 11 am. Tickets cost € 18 and are available through VVK outlets or by calling 34 38 03.
