Long Night of Music

On May 5, from 20:00 to 3:00, a melting pot of international sounds will drift through the night air from Munich’s clubs. Following the enormously successful Long Night of Museums, the “Long Night of Music,” organized by the city magazine Münchner, will be held for the second time. In order to hear all the different styles of music that will be played, you must be blessed with supernatural swiftness: at more than one hundred locations classical music, jazz, music of all ethnic origins and worldwide club sounds will be presented. Though no internationally famous faces are scheduled to appear, the events promise numerous highlights. To put together your personal program, pick up the brochure offered at all newsstands or see the list of all events at www.muenchner.de/musiknacht. To purchase tickets (DM 30) in advance, see Ticket Information on the What’s Up page in this issue. For further information call (089) 30 61 00 32. This long night of diverse rhythms and sounds will surely be an extravagant addition to Munich’s roster of exciting cultural activities.
