September 11

While some may prefer to forget the first anniversary of the terrorost attacks on the United States, many will wish to reflect on the year's events and pay tribute to both those who perished and those who worked tirelessly throughout the rescue effort. Through September 15, The Museum Villa Stuck will present photographs from Moroccan artist Touhami Ennandre's series entitled, "New York City, 11 September 2001." Ennandre's large-scale black and white photos capture the horror and suffering that enveloped the city on September 11 and in the days that followed. Ennandre's work is also currently on exhibit at Documenta 11, the international exhibition of contemporary art, in Kassel. The Museum Villa Stuck is open Tues.-Sun. 10 am-6 pm.
