On Your Mark
Runners and in-line skaters will want to sprint to the Olympiapark on Saturday, October 13 to participate in the third annual medien.marathon and the 22.5-km “Skate the City” extravaganza. Runners leave the starting gate at 9 am and follow a route through Schwabing, Bogenhausen and the English Garden, eventually crossing the finish line in the Olympic Stadium (admission to the stadium is free for spectators). Skaters head from the Olympiapark to the English Garden at 10 am. Anyone who missed early registration for the marathon can sign up in person on October 11 and 12 at the medien.messe in the Werner-von-Linde-Halle at the Olympiapark; the fee is € 60. Skaters can register for this event up until October 12 (€ 25). More information and registration forms are available at
