This splendid Baroque palace, once a summer residence of the Bavarian Electors, houses Ludwig I's celebrated ''Gallery of Beauties.'' There are two museums located in the wings of the palace: the Museum of Mankind and Nature and the Marstall Museum, which houses historic coaches, as well as carriages and a collection of the famous Nymphenburg porcelain. The adjacent Botanical Garden is home to an extensive collection of flora.
