Dram-tastic
Munich may be renowned for its beer festival, but this month the city pays homage to a drink of a different nature altogether. From February 4 to 6 the first Munich Whisky Festival will be held, on the Praterinsel. The event will be split into two parts—an information event with tastings, master classes, auctions and a chance to speak to producers from across the world, and a festival with Scottish, Irish and American specialties, live music and a whisky shop. The information event is open from 10 am to 8 pm on Friday and Saturday and until 6 pm on Sunday, and entrance costs € 15, including whisky tasting. The festival marquees are open from 10 am to 11 pm
every day and entrance is free.
