Artistic Pride
Been wondering why a pride of painted lion statues is on the prowl around Munich? No, it’s not some advertising campaign for Munich’s Die Löwen soccer team, nor for Löwenbräu or anyone else for that matter. The 500-plus creatures, each of which has been customized by a different artist, are part of an artistic initiative that will run until the end of the Soccer World Cup next year.
