"Shine" Star
Remember Shine, the 1996 Oscar-winning movie about a brilliant pianist who suffers a mental breakdown because of his strict father and teachers? The film, starring Geoffrey Rush, was based on the true story of David Helfgott, who, after ten years in an institution, finds his way back to playing his beloved instrument. And, sure enough, he’s back in real life, too—with a concert in Munich planned for
May 3.
Some say Helfgott is still unbalanced and consider his concerts simply bizarre, whereas for others he’s a true virtuoso. See for yourself at the event, which takes place in
