Munich By Night
Never seem to find time to discover Munich’s treasures? Now’s your chance. On October 15, the city’s museums will be opening their doors throughout the night, for the seventh Lange Nacht der Museen. And, what’s more, MUNICH FOUND is giving away three pairs of tickets (worth € 15 each) to the event, which include admission to the 90 participating art and cultural institutions, as well as shuttle-bus transport between venues. As well as their regular exhibitions, museums will be running a series of special events throughout the night. How about putting yourself to the test with a potato quiz at the Kartoffelmuseum, or taking part in experiments with measuring instruments at the Geodäsie Museum? Pick up a few pictures at an art auction held at the Kunstraum Wild, or take a trip through Munich’s sewerage system. For those who like their old vehicles, the Munich Omnibus Club is offering a classic bus shuttle service throughout the night. For those more musically inclined, head to the Bayerisches Nationalmuseum for an evening of opera improvisation, or check out the DJs playing loungey sounds at the Neue Pinakothek and Pinakothek der Moderne. Whatever whets your whistle, there’s sure to be something to your taste. Check out
www.muenchner.de/museumsnacht for the full program and maps showing the various venues. Tickets can be bought in advance at the museums, as well as at München Ticket. On the day of the event, tickets will be
on sale at a stand on Odeonsplatz from 2 pm.
