Express Yourself
An exhibition to mark the 100th anniversary of the German Expressionist artists’ association “Die Brücke” opens in Munich this month. Founded in Dresden in 1905, the group came together to pledge their faith in the art of the future, towards which their work would act as a “bridge.” The group, which included the likes of Max Pechstein and Emil Nolde, was inspired by the work of Vincent van Gogh, Paul Gauguin and Edvard Munch, among others. Check them out from February 24 to May 21 at the Kunsthalle, Theatinerstrasse 8. The exhibition is open daily, 10 am–8 pm, and admission costs € 8 for adults.
