Singing the Blues
It was the day the music died. When hurricane Katrina brought devastation to New Orleans last year, the city’s famous musicians were among those who lost everything they had. Now you, too, can do your the cibit to help put some soul back into ty, by going along to this month’s New Orleans Music Festival at the Amerika Haus, which will be donating part of the evening’s proceeds to help musicians buy new instruments. The event, on February 11, will feature performances by the Cottonfield Blues Band, Blues singer Angela Brown and the Trevor Richards New Orleans Trio, among others.
