Paint the Town Green
Though the Irish mark St. Patrick’s Day every year on March 17, their spirit will be felt a bit earlier here in Munich when the annual celebration for Ireland’s patron saint hits the streets on Sunday, March 12. Put on by the Deutsch-Irischer Freundeskreis Bayern, the festivities kick off at noon at Münchner Freiheit with a parade marching in all its green glory down Leopold- and Ludwigstrasse to Odeonsplatz. The party lasts until 6 pm, with a Blessing of the Shamrock, two stages full of live music and dancing, food and, of course, Guinness! For more information, check out
