Long Night of Sports on July 2nd
You don’t have to be David Beckham to show off your athletic stuff during this year’s football frenzy. On Sunday, July 2 from 4 pm to 1 am, just days before the World Cup semi finals take place here in town, Munich will whip itself into shape during the Long Night of Sport. Around 200 fitness outlets in the city will open their doors to hold fitness courses and trial workouts. The event will focus on four themes:
- Action and Innovation Night: inline slalom, trampoline, speedminton
- Wellness and Fitness Night: Yoga, Tai Chi, walking, Frisbee in the English Garden
- Team Night: basketball, beach volleyball, beach soccer, beach tennis
- Aqua Night: water gymnastics, synchronized swimming, underwater rugby
Tickets to the Long Night of Sport are €10, and include public transportation to the various venues. For a full list of what’s on offer and where, visit
