musicals are more your thing, head north instead, and enjoy an open-air performance of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Jesus Christ Superstar at the Freilichtbühne am Roten Tor in Augsburg. The elaborate production, put on each night by a cast and crew of as many as 150, features crowd favorite Thomas Peters in the title role and, as Judas, Andy Kuntz, lead singer of the heavy metal band, Vanden Plas.
