Grease ist das Wort
Okay, so maybe you’re thinking that “Eingefetteter Blitz” and “Hoffnungslos gewidmet” wouldn’t ring as true as “Greased Lightning” or “Hopelessly Devoted.” But no worries! In the brand-new German version of the smash musical Grease, all songs are performed in English. The pompadours and poodle-skirts need no translation. Directed by David Gilmore, the show will premiere at the Deutsches Theater, on September 7 (preview September 6). Audiences will be dancing in the aisles every day but Mondays until October 1. Tickets cost from € 19 to € 64, and are available through the Deutsches Theater at 552 34-444 or at many VVK outlets.
