The Long Night of Museums
Eagerly anticipated by Munich residents each year, the Long Night of Museums will be held for the eighth time on October 21. From 7 pm–2 am, more than 100 museums and cultural institutions will be open for visitors to enjoy musical performances, tours, lectures, light installations and other special events to complement their usual offerings. This year, for example, the Deutsches Museum Verkehrszentrum will open its new halls, the Jesuitenkirche St. Michael will be transformed into a cloud room and visitors to the BMW Museum will be entered into a raffle to win a new car. A full program is available at VVK outlets and exhibition sites. Tickets cost € 15 and include entry to all participating locations, use of the shuttle buses between them and transport on all MVV lines.
