Stefan Moses: Images of the Hungarian Revolution
In early November, 1956, as those around him lobbed bombs and carried rifles, Stefan Moses took to the streets of Budapest with a camera in hand. The famed German photojournalist captured images of the last hours of the Hungarian
revolution, which began with a demonstration on October 23, and was finally suppressed with the arrival of the Red Army in Budapest on November 4. “Hungarian Revolution 1956: Fifty Photographs by Stefan Moses,” an exhibition of these black-and-white photographs, will be held at the Literaturhaus from October 13 to November 12. Located on Salvatorplatz, the Literaturhaus is open Monday through Friday, 11 am–7 pm, and Saturday and Sunday, 10 am–6 pm.
