Nureyev in Memory and Modern Interpretations
As perhaps the greatest male dancer of the twentieth century, Rudolf Nureyev electrified audiences on stage and in film. On October 3 and 4, his longtime friend Luigi Pignotti will say “Thank You Rudy” through the presentation of a ballet gala of the same name at Prinzregententheater. Modern stars Maximiliano Guerra, Paola Vismara and the Scala Milanese will pay homage to their predecessor by way of original choreography and interpretations of Nureyev’s own work in such ballets as Swan Lake, The Nutcracker and Don Quixote. Tickets for the performances, which will take place each night at 8 pm, cost € 35–79.
