October 2006
Munich Spielwiesn
Now that Oktoberfest is over, you might be thinking that you have to wait a whole year to have a fun time in Munich. Not to worry: From November 10-12, Hall 3 of the M.O.C. in Riem, will be home to more than ten times as many games as the Wies'n Gaudi--at much lower prices--during the Muenchener Spielwiesn. Sixty advisors will be on hand to explain the offerings and play along with guests, who will be able
to explore banks of computer games, card game areas and a
special area with games for kids, all for the one entry fee. On Friday--"Family Day," when tickets cost just
€ 3--the fair will be open from 2 pm to 8 pm. Saturday, from 10 am to 11 pm, will feature the "Long Night of Games," and Sunday the fair will keep gamers busy from 10 am-6 pm. On Saturday and Sunday, tickets will cost € 8 for adults and € 5.50 for kids over 6. Children under 6 may enter for free. Information on special events during the fairsuch as a benefit tournament with local celebrities on Sunday at
1 pm is available at
the official website.
