Make Some Noise for Human Rights
Since its founding in 1961, Amnesty International has utilized music as a conduit for world change. Benefit concerts with Sting, U2, Madonna, Bob Dylan and others have helped raise money for human rights while bringing younger generations to activism. In late 2005, AI launched a new musical project called "Make Some Noise," which recognizes the changes that have occurred in the music industry since 1961. On
their website, visitors can download music videos and covers of John Lennon classics by The Black Eyed Peas, the Cure and other contemporary artists, with proceeds supporting AI campaigns. Benefit concerts are also a part of this new project, and on November 3, Five! Fast!! Hits!!! and GO PANIC! will perform at Glockenbachwerkstatt to support "Make Some Noise." Doors will open at 9 pm and the
first band will take the stage at 10 pm. Tickets will be available at the door for € 5.
