Valentine's Day Reading
Singletons can cozy up with someone hot this Valentine’s Day, even if the action will only happen on the page. Sinn und Sinnlichkeit (Sense and Sensibility), stocks a huge selection of erotic books on the corner of Fraunhoferstrasse at Reichenbachbrücke. If your language of love is German, you’ll find translations of steamy works by Martin Amis, Michel Houllebecq, and Casanova, of course. Glossy photography books by Helmut Newton and David LaChapelle, or a collection of Rodin sketches, would be a gift in no need of translation. Despite its somewhat racy inventory, there’s nothing tawdry about this elegant little shop. Indeed, the only Playboy you’ll find is a recording of famous authors reading articles the magazine once published. Sinn und Sinnlichkeit is open Monday through Friday, 11 am to
7 pm, and Saturday, 11 am
to 4 pm.
