Tropical Butterflies
The shimmering colors of Costa Rica, Surinam, and the Philippines are just a few tram stops away, as the Nymphenburg Botanical Gardens presents “Tropical Butterflies.” For the tenth year running, a greenhouse on the palace grounds plays host to more than 400 butterflies that have been flown in as larva from Caribbean and Asian farms. Specimens flit through the lush greenery every day from
9 am to 4:30 pm. Early morning visitors may even have a chance to witness one break out of its chrysalis. The exhibition will run until April 1. Entry costs € 4; kids under 12 are free.
