Henry Maske Returns
Just as Sylvester Stallone’s sixth Rocky installation is
showing “It ain’t over ’til it’s over,” another boxing legend
is giving the ring another go round. Light heavyweight
boxer Henry Maske had a career full of world titles and
gold medals—including a 1988 Olympic gold for East Germany. He was undefeated as a professional until a 1996 loss to American Virgil Hill, after which he retired. Now, at age 43, Maske is coming back to face Hill (also 43) one more time, on March 31, at 8 pm at Olympiahalle.
The squeamish need not be reluctant to attend—Maske’s clean techniques and friendly attitude earned him the nickname
“The Gentleman Boxer.” Tickets are on sale for € 25–1180.
