Center for New Technology
Just months after opening the Transportation Center, the Deutsches Museum is continuing its expansion with the beginning of construction on a Center for New Technology. The former railroad hall of the Deutsches Museum will host longterm and special exhibitions bringing the futuristic enigmas of nano- and biotechnology to the public. Visitors will be able to have their own DNA analyzed, watch ongoing scientific research through a glass wall, and listen to lectures on the future of science. American biotech firm AMGEN is acting as a partner on the project, and has already donated € 750,000 in funding. The hall is expected to open in 2008.
