April 2007
Lord of the Rings Symphony
As if 12 hours of film and hundreds of pages weren’t enough of a window onto the world of J.R.R. Tolkien, fans can now experience a two-hour multimedia version of the Lord of the Rings saga. Two hundred musicians will perform selections of music from the films, and video artist David Frankel has created a projection series of original Tolkien illustrations. A chorus will sing in Elfish.
(If you don’t know what that is, you’ll probably skip the show.) The performance will be in the Olympiahalle on April 12 at 8 pm. Tickets are on sale for € 31.30–55.40.
