November 2007
Tollwood Time
From November 28 to December 31, the Tollwood Winter Festival brings its particular brand of magic to the Theresienwiese. As usual, it includes performances, children’s programs, gastronomic delights and artisan exhibits. New this year is the WorldSalon “Planet Earth, Your Home,” a forum for sharing ideas about the climate and environment. Google Earth head Adam Smith and Singer/Environmentalist Bob Geldof will visit in support of the project. Other highlights include “The Sold Grandfather,” a cabaret performance coupled with a natural-food (bio, in German) banquet by star chef Sarah Wiener. The long-running one-person shows continue with “Cavewoman” and “Caveman,” along with “Lying, but Honest”—all of these in German, of course. There is also a Children’s Tent with puppet shows and face painting, and a Special “Hot Rhythms” New Year’s Eve Party. For program information and tickets, see
