Jewish Culture Back in the City
From a cabaret performance by Israeli actress Sarale Feldman to a lecture from a female rabbi, Munich’s 21st annual Jewish Cultural Days shine the light on Jewish history, art and accomplishments. The Society for the Advancement of Jewish Culture and Tradition has assembled more than a dozen artists and lecturers from around the globe to visit the city from November 15 to 27.
A highlight is the performance by Klingon Klezmer on November 18 at Gasteig’s Carl-Orff-Saal (€ 16 to € 24). The Philadelphia-based musicians are among the world’s top performers of klezmer: a traditional Jewish dance and celebration music, often with Yiddish lyrics. Most events take place at Gasteig, but for complete details see
