Low-Cost Concert Tickets
The Gasteig cultural and performance center offers € 2 to € 8 tickets for short concerts and student series several times a week. Occasionally low-cost tickets also are available for daytime open rehearsals. For example, a rehearsal for a Mozart and Schumann program by the Munich Philharmonic will be held at 10 am on December 8. Here’s how it works: There is no reservation or pre-purchase. The ticket office at Gasteig opens at 9 am, but the staff recommends getting there an hour in advance because many are expected to queue. The reward: € 8 tickets (for the evening performance, they can be up to € 54). <<<
