Munich-based Furniture Designer
Cabinetmaker Clemens Oppenheimer creates streamlined works of furniture art from wood and wood veneer. His pieces are known for their right angles, lack of adornment and almost sculptural quality. “Functionality and lack of function: this polarity is deliberately combined in Oppenheimer’s furniture,” according to the chairmen of the Bavarian Kunstgewerbe-Verein. The gallery hosts an exhibit of Oppenheimer’s work through November 10 at Pacellistr. 6-8; hours are 10 am to 6 pm Monday through Saturday. <<<
