March 2008
Literature for Kids
The second annual
Munich Junior Book Show extends its invitation to local bibliophiles, both young and young-at-heart. From March 1 through 9, the Rathausgalerie (Marienplatz 8) will present a playful program of readings, workshops and excursions to book-related locations in Munich. Beyond offering entertainment, the book show aims to encourage young ones to develop their reading skills and understanding of their environment. For a complete listing of events and ticket prices, visit

International Spring Book Week, there will be another reading for young adults at the International Youth Library (Schloss Blutenburg). On March 6, award-wining Canadian author Brian Doyle will read from his books and discuss them with the audience after the reading. The event starts at 10 am and is intended for children age 12 and above. Tickets cost € 3. For reservations call 89 12 110 or, visit
