St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Munich’s 13th annual St. Patrick’s Day parade will take place this year on March 17. Leaving at noon from Münchner Freiheit, the procession of dancers, musicians and cultural groups will march down Leopold- and Ludwigstrasse to Odeonsplatz. After the “Shamrock Blessing,” Irish music and dance groups will perform on the stage in the shadow of the Feldhernhalle, and the crowd will commence toasts to Saint Patrick and all things
Eire. The parade will officially end at 6 pm, though spirited celebrations will continue into the night at the city’s many Irish pubs. For further details on all participating groups, see
