Prosecco and a Smile
My new fave wine bar in Munich, hands down, is
Sisi & Franz. The owner, Jürgen Lick, has set the place up to look like an old wine cellar. Riddling racks are strewn about and wine bottles have been fashioned to serve as light fixtures over the bar. It’s intimate but not stuffy, and on Thursday nights they have live music. The drinks are priced right and they even have a few snack on that list.

Schnitzel anyone?!
My husband is German and loves his
Knödel and
Schweinsbraten, so we were thrilled to find a great Bavarian restaurant in our neighborhood—
Rumpler. It’s classic Bavarian, offering all of the standards, including one of the biggest and best schnitzels I have ever had, and the service is good!

Need a little spice in your life?
Then head on over to
Sarovar for some super Indian food! This is one of two Indian places I frequent in town and every time I bring friends, they want to return. The food is always yummy, the prices rather reasonable (although Indian is never cheap) and the service is excellent. For super spicy, try the chicken Tikka. If mild is more your style,
then go for the chicken Korma.
