April 2008
Summit 2008
Though there has been exceptional European coverage of the American primaries, and the upcoming presidential elections are highly anticipated and subject of heat-ed discussions among Germans, American citizens abroad may well view their political involvement from a somewhat different perspective. For this reason, the Overseas Vote Foundation will hold a conference addressing overseas and military voting issues. On April 3 and 4, “Summit 2008” will feature critical discussions and debates on the pressing challenges that expatriates and military voters face today. Topics will include Internet voting and an exploration of how other countries help their expatriates vote. The opening keynote will feature Bernard Weber, the founder of the New7Wonders Foundation, which conducted the first-ever global election with 100 million votes cast online.
