Afrika Tage
The Afrika Tage will imbue the cosmopolitan Olympic Park with even more international spirit on June 5. For the following three days, the festival will present many African specialities: from dance and music to hand-made art. Kids and adults can learn how to drum or bring along their own to join the
Djembe sessions every day during the festival at 3 pm. All music acts and dance performances are listed online at
www.afrika-tage.de. When the caravan pulls up its stakes on June 8, however, those that are left behind need not miss out on African rhythms here in Munich. Almost as sure as the
Schäfflertanz at the Marienplatz, a daily crowd meets in front of the
Monopteros in the English Garden to beat the drums together. <<<
