June 2008
BMW International Open
Since 1989—when David Feherty from Northern Ireland won the first BMW International Open—the Munich
tournament has gained an international reputation of excellence among golf enthusiasts. From June 19 to 22, competitors will again tee off on the golf course München Eichenried. Swedish champion Niclas Fasth will defend his title against a host of world-class players, including last year’s second-place finisher and Germany’s top player, Bernhard Langer. Traditionally, admission on Thursday and Friday is free. Tickets for the weekend, which cost € 30–50, can be
purchased in advance at
www.bmw-golfsport.com. The golf club Eichenried on Münchnerstrasse 57
in Moosinning-Eichenried can best be reached via the A9 to the Garching Süd exit. Then, take the B471 toward Ismaning; after that the B388 toward Erding. The golf club is located at the entrance to the village. For a map and further details, visit
