International Summer Party
“Munich: City of Cultural Diversity” will be the motto of the annual summer party of the
Ausländerbeirat München (Foreigners Council), who will celebrate the many facets of Munich’s expat community on July 13. Visitors to Westpark will encounter music from all four corners of the world and watch Turkish, Arabic and Chinese calligraphers exercise their skilled fingers. Folklore fans will be treated to a “dance of cultures” and numerous showcases from puppet plays to magic tricks will keep the little ones busy. In addition, many stands will distribute information about local organizations easing integration in Munich. Of course, there will be international cooks presenting the food of their home countries to hungry partiers. Festivities will start at 1 pm and will last through 9 pm. <<<
