**For Sale (BMG/ARIOLA)
Peter Freudenthaler, front man of the five-man German band Fool’s Garden, admits the quintet received worldwide recognition with “a pretty little melody.” After the mega-hit in question, “Lemon Tree,” fell from play lists and left the tapping feet of fans, the band released its second CD, Go and Ask Peggy for the Principal Thing — a cleverly titled disappointment. Fool’s Garden’s newest addition to the charts, For Sale, offers more of the same. A mix of tedious ditties, the work is simply ho hum. No one need buy it anyway, we all have the original concept in our cabinets — Beatles recordings.
