Give and Take
Trick-or-Treat in Gauting
Gift-giving goblins are invited to trick-or-treat on Saturday, October 21, in and around Gauting.
For the first time, this annual event will be charity oriented. Donated gifts for three- to six- year olds will be distributed to children in Poland and the Republic of Georgia for Christmas by Pro Toto,
a Munich-based charitable organization.
The fun begins at 17:00 at the Buchendorf Sportplatz (Neuriedstr.), where maps are distributed and toys collected. At 17:30, kids can take a haunted hayride through the woods followed by, from
18:00-20:30, trick-or-treating at those neighborhood houses lit with Jack-o-lanterns. Those who are from outside the Gauting area are asked to bring a bag or two of candy to one of the participating homes to share.
