A yearly fee of DM 15 to 30 is offered to holders of a 12-month MVV pass.>>>Pedestrians walking from Odeonsplatz to Marienplatz now run the risk of being run over by cyclists, who have their own red path, which they race along like cars. But don’t give up hope. The city plans to separate those paths from the sidewalk by erecting ramps soon.
>>>Last month new taxi rates took effect. The fixed fee of DM 75, which covered the ride from the airport to the Messe, or vice versa, now costs DM 83. Per-kilometer rates are now charged on a sliding scale. The farther you go, the cheaper it gets. A flat rate of DM 5 per ride is still charged. The first five kilometers are calculated at DM 2.65 per km, the next five cost DM 2.45 per km, and all kilometers traveled after the initial ten are DM 2.25 per km.
