Boy Scouts of America regroup
The Munich branch of the Boy Scouts of America, Troop 21, will celebrate its 50th anniversary in September. The event, with the theme “1949-2001: A Scouting Odyssey,” will pay tribute to the troop’s history — from its postwar beginnings to its current popularity as a multicultural meeting point for boys aged 11 to 18. Organizers, who look forward to a large turnout, have already begun trying to track down former scouts and leaders and are asking local expats to spread the word as well.
