Birdies, green grass and long drives may sound like the stuff of a weekend nature retreat but, for professional golfers, these are par for the course. From August 30 to September 2, at the BMW International Open golf tournament at the Golfclub München Nord in Eschenried, top players from around the world will gather to vie for a title and 300,000 Euro. The tournament’s “top seven” players will include American John Daly, Welshman Ian Woosnam and, surely the crowd favorite, German superstar Bernhard Langer, who has won 60 worldwide titles and more than four million marks in his 25-year career.
