So Inclined
Anyone who has experienced skiing in the Bavarian Alps knows that these mountains guard a great secret: the fact that skiing in Germany has been often overlooked doesn’t mean it’s not good. In fact, those who frequent the Bavarian slopes know that the powdery snow, efficient service and beautiful scenery make for some of the best skiing around. And because Bavarian ski resorts are so often passed up for more popular “tourist traps,” they generally won’t be as crowded as, say, Chamonix in Switzerland. In addition, Munich’s proximity to the Alps allows for weekend or even day trips. For a list of all major ski resorts in Bavaria, and Germany at large, check out
