Starbucks is coming! Many expats have been waiting and wondering, hoping this blockbuster coffee company would open stores in Germany, where coffee-to-go is rarely an option. Now, there is a lovely brown glow on the horizon—we can almost smell the low-fat mocha latte in the air. Starbucks Coffee International and KarstadtQuelle Group recently signed a deal to bring the coffee company to department stores throughout Deutschland. If all goes according to plan, Starbucks hopes to open as many as 1,500 stores here. Dust off your travel mug—the first shop will open in Berlin
this spring.
