Moony Tunes
The third annual Lange Nacht der Musik, which will be held this year on May 4, promises once again to fill Munich venues with the sound of music until the wee hours. About 20 locations throughout Munich will host music-related events, such as the Muffathalle, which drew over 4,000 visitors last year. Featured artists in the city that night will be the German-Taiwanese piano pair Duo d’Accord, Quartetto Prometeo, an Italien string quartet, and the Norwegian drummer Eirik Raude. The event “Bollywood,” in the Goethe-Forum, will feature Indian musicals. Film biographies of renowned musicians and other exhibits are going to be presented at the Glockenbachwerkstatt. Get those hips swinging at the Latin American night with live music by Mariachis el Sol on the main floor of the Forum der Technik and join in on nonstop belly dancing, Hawaiian Hula and Oriental disco shows at the Zentrum für Orientalischen Tanz. The festival of melodies begins at 8 pm. Shuttle buses will transport the masses to music until 3 am. Tickets, which cost € 15 (this includes rides in shuttle buses), are valid for all locations, can be purchased at ticket agents and the event locations. Programs are available where tickets are sold and at www.muenchner.de, or call the info line at (089) 30 61 00 41 for more information.
