Take it outside Spring is in the air, and if you listen attentively, so too is the sound of music. Try substituting a little concert culture for the neighborhood beer garden and head to one of Munich’s many open air performances. The Brunnenhof fountain garden at the Residenz begins its open-air season on Saturday, June 19 with the Munich Symphony’s performance of Tschaikosky’s “Romeo and Juliet.” It continues the Shakespearean theme for the final open-air concert on July 29, with Mendelssohn’s “Midsummer Night’s Dream.” The Brunnenhof’s summer lineup includes works by Bach, Vivaldi, the Hungarian National Gypsy Orchestra, Louisiana gospel singers and a night of swing music, plus additional performances by the Munich Symphony.
