Munich's city races invites runners of all ages to participate
Eight thousand people are expected to run in the 21st annual Stadtlauf (Munich City HalfMarathon) on June 27. The 21 km and 10 km trails will run through the city center and the English Garden. However, the marathon is not geared toward professionals. The vast majority of participants will be families, including an expected 500 children. Most runners enter the race just for fun — and the chance to go home with a brand new Citroën. Every runner is eligible to win the DM 30,000 car simply by taking part. The half-marathon officially begins at 8:00 and ends at 12:00, starting and finishing at Sendlinger Strasse. To participate, register at Sport-Scheck (Sendlinger Str. 6) by June 6.
