Child's Play
At last! It is summer and school is out! Whereas students are jumping for joy, many parents are groaning—and breath a sigh of relief when the school season reconvenes in September. Summertime can be rather hectic, with struggles to juggle work schedules and daily activities to occupy bored children. This is why KinderHouse, a new dual-language day-care center, is opening in Neuhausen this summer. The group is parent-run, with both native English and German-speaking staff, and will offer long days packed with fun activities during which children will be exposed to both languages and cultures. The center will be fully equipped with a gym area (ladders, jump rope, basketball), a reading and music area, and a large multipurpose room for arts and crafts, board games and other entertainment. The KinderHouse will be open weekdays from school dismissal to 5 pm, and during holidays from 8 am to 5 pm. If you are interested in having your child join, there are still a few spots available for kids
ages 6 to 12 to begin in August or September. For more information call Annie or Hartmut Janssen at (089) 1219 2880 or send an email to
