If you’re bored of spending New Year’s Eve watching the public firework displays but are too lazy to organize a private party, why not head out to the new youth hostel at Possenhofen by Lake Starnberg? In a three-day event beginning on December 30 visitors are invited to take part in a New Year’s Eve party, which includes dinner, a January 1 brunch and a walk by torchlight. The price is € 111 for adults and € 61 for children and covers bed and board. An additional highlight is the chance to attend the Neujahrsskispringen in Garmisch-Partenkirchen.
