Planet Earth
When did global warming begin? Can it be halted? And what is the difference between weather and climate? These are just some of the questions that are asked and answered in an exhibition currently being held at the Deutsches Museum called “Klima: Das Experiment mit dem Planeten Erde” (Climate: An Experiment with Planet Earth). Although there are many spectacular effects, such as a satellite picture showing the earth at night, the approach is not sensationalist but factual and informative. The history of our industrial revolution out of which the greenhouse effect developed is explained here, as are possible solutions to the problem of global warming. There is no extra charge for this exhibition: anyone who has paid the € 7.50 entrance fee
(€ 3 for children and students) to the museum can look around. The Deutsches Museum is open daily from 9 am to 5 pm and until 8 pm on Wednesdays.
