Ice Pack
So far this winter has proved frustrating for many outdoor sports fans. Skiing conditions have been far from good in many places and outdoor ice-skating came and went before many people had a chance to get their skates out of the cellar. As nature has proved uncooperative the only resort is to artificial winter conditions such as those created at the Marienhof behind the Rathaus where a skating-rink has been set up with artificial ice. Here you can hire skates, then glide out on to the ice to the sound of either classical or pop music and every evening there is a light show, in which skaters and ice are bathed in pinks, blues and greens, creating a fairy tale atmosphere. Opening hours are from
Mon. to Fri. 12 am to 11 pm and weekends from 10 am to 11 pm.
